Subject: Chris Wood and more!

Hello Everyone
What a gorgeous day....unless you're stuck indoors working like a mad thing trying to get essentials done before the Murray match ahem! This means I have approximately 5 minutes to remind you that we have our next Folk in the Barn event tomorrow night with our home grown Folk Superstar Chris Wood.
(nearly two hours later....) You may have guessed I didn't achieve my goal, plus I had to get to the tip (and Tescos) before it shut as I've been carrying the attic contents around for two days now. Hopefully Murray is leading by two sets now, I'll catch up in a bit.

Why am I here? Oh yes - tomorrow night - at the beautiful St Gregorys Music Centre in North Holmes Road Chris Wood is coming to perform as only Chris Wood can. Not seen him? Just come - there is no-one more opinionated and uncompromising, yet heartbreakingly sensitive and soothing. If you're feeling at all frazzled - as indeed I'm sure Roger Federer is feeling right now.... (Andy is surely serving for the match right? ) Chris will put your world to rights and remind us how we're actually all the same, with the same hopes and daily details. There are plenty of tickets left so just come along for a really special night out.

OYSTERS 3 - Oysterband as you don?t know them...

Up close and personal: John Jones, Alan Prosser and Ian Telfer, the three founder members and creative heart of folk-rock legends Oysterband, invite you to an evening of fresh acoustic performance and not-entirely-discreet stories - an insight into their history, sometimes turbulent, often funny, with great songs from every era of a unique career.

?The idea arose from Sidmouth and Shrewsbury Festivals recently asking us to do ?something different? as well as the regular Oysterband style of concert. We more or less improvised the show and it went down a storm - and we wondered how on earth we?d never thought of doing this before!?
