*  Kentucky to Kent UK - Monday 31.8.15;  we're hoping for good weather, but if it rains there's plenty of room inside for all events and lots of picking, so - hope to see you!!

*  Details for tonight's event received from Staines 'Down by the Riverside' club:

-------------------------------------------------------------------

This month, 28th August, we have the usual picking session that will kick off at 7.45, followed by THREE amazing acts.

Jack Cade

Jack has developed his own brand of Americana, Country and Folk and as he often says "I've always thought of myself not as a singer but someone who talks with style, and I write and play simple songs because that's the way they come out"

Jason McNiff (Special Guest Spot)

Jason McNiff is a London based Yorkshireman of Irish and Polish descent. He has made four records of what are loosely described as Alt. Country or Americana, yet there is something very British about him. As Time Out attests, 'McNiff's quiet, intimate, fragile-sounding vocals draw you into his world - a melancholy, almost timeless place, through which he drifts, a romantic loner, a dreamer, at home with the blues.'

Case Hardin

Much-loved UK band Case Hardin, fronted by enigmatic songwriter and vocalist Pete Gow, are set to release their newest studio album, Colours Simple, on Clubhouse Records.  This the fourth long player from Case Hardin is undoubtedly their best yet.  Andy Fyfe of Q/Mojo magazines said - "An album for album lovers".

The venue is the Staines Riverside Club, only a 2-3min walk from Staines railway station and plenty of free on-street parking & an onsite car park.

The Riverside Club, 6 Laleham Road, Staines, Surrey TW18 2DX

As usual this is a FREE event but great music should be duly rewarded to keep music live. So we do 'pass the jug' during the featured acts - all tips collected going to the artists.  So remember...

The Deeper You Dig - The Better The Gig!

So come along, bring your instrument and make this a regular entry in your music diary!

Looking forwards to seeing you all there
