Double MOBO Award Winning Saxophonist - and University of Kent graduate
- YolanDa Brown brings some sunshine to Gulbenkian on Sat 10 October at 7.30pm,
returning with a special set titled "Reggae Love Songs".
Following
on from the success of her debut album ?April Showers May Flowers?, which
reached no1 on the iTunes and Amazon Jazz charts, YolanDa will be performing
her infectious blend of Reggae rhythms with supreme Jazz flavoured inflections
and sensibilities.
Widely
regarded as the Premier Female Saxophonist in the UK, Brown has toured in
support of The Temptations, Errol Brown, Courtney Pine and Diana Krall, as well
as collaborating with Mica Paris, Omar, Soweto Kinch and Jools Holland?s Rhythm
& Blues Orchestra, as well as performing around the world in her own right
too! Touching on Jazz, Soul and Reggae, her music is a wonderful mix of genres,
not to be missed.
