Subject: FOLK AT THE DRUM (FATD) - GUEST NIGHT 3 DECEMBER 2015 - THE STORY OF CAPTAIN SWING - START TIME 2000.

Good Morning All,

We depart from our usual Guest Night style this week in that our guests will be telling the true story, in song, of the Captain Swing riots which started in the Elham Valley on 28 August 1830.  You can read the outline of what happened here:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swing_Riots

The Story is wrtitten by Bob Kenward, most of you will have heard and/or sung along to Bob, he writes marvellous songs!  The other performers will be known to most of you, being: Liz Randall,Roger Resch, Sue Watson and Alan Castle who is the narrator.  The latter two are both club members!

We shall still have our normal 5 floor spots and volunteers would be most welcome.

I shall shortly be asking for you to give me your menu choices for the Club Christmas Dinner which is on 10 December 2015.  A separate e-mail will follow this one.
