Good Morning All,

Apologies for the late presentation of this missive and the necessarily short notice request that goes with it!

In short I would be most grateful for the quickest  possible response from those who will be attending the dinner as I need to get numbers in to Suzie this evening so that the correct amount of food may be ordered  in good time.

The Menu is as follows:

STARTERS

Spicy Carrot & Potato Soup
Smoked Mackerel with Horseradish
Flat Pan Mushroom Topped with Bacon & Stilton
Farmhouse Paté

MAIN COURSES

Traditional Roast Turkey
Traditional Roast Beef served with Pigs in Blankets & Yorkshire Pudding
Roast Duck Breast & Plum Sauce
Home-made Vegetable Wellington

Served with Rosemary seasoned New Potatoes & Baby Vegetables

DESSERTS

Christmas Pudding
Forest Fruit Cheese Cake
Raspberry  & White Chocolate Roulade
Black Forest Gateau


As in previous years Mick has agreed to provide tea or coffee at the end of the meal at no extra charge, that includes decaffeinated coffee if required.  Please let me have your menu choices including your choice of tea or coffee as soon as you possibly can.

Prices this year are £17 for two courses and £22 for three courses so I would be very grateful if you would ensure that you have the correct amount in cash with you as this is by far the easiest way to manage this event.  At the end of the meal you pay your share to me and I then pay the pub.

One thing that we have always done and which I would wish to continue is that we provide a tip of £2 per head.  Again for simplicities sake I will collect that and pass it on.  For the First time we will have variable amounts of coins to be collected and therefore I would ask that you have the largest possible denominations of coins of the realm available as follows:

If you are paying £17 plus tip  please have:        1 x £10 note, 1 x £5 note & 2x £1 coin or 1 x £2  for your meal      PLUS 2x £1 coin or 1 x £2  for the tip

If you are paying £22 plus tip  please have:        1 x £20 note or 2 x £10 note & 2x £1 coin or 1 x £2  for your meal      PLUS 2x £1 coin or 1 x £2  for the tip

PLEASE, NO COINS SMALLER THAN £1

Once again my apologies for the short notice, please help me out of this hole with a swift response, even if you are delayed for any reason in giving me you menu choices please let me know that you wish to attend.
