like to join us at Tenterden Folk Festival 2016?
Thursday 29th September to Sunday 2nd
October 2016
Tenterden Folk Festival 2016 will take place from Thursday 29th
September to Sunday 2nd October. The main days for
dancing will still be Saturday and Sunday but there could be some
opportunities for dancing on Thursday early evening and on
Friday. We are building up the number of sides attending on
Sunday and hope to see even more this year. We would like to
soon see as many sides on Sunday as are normally present on Saturday
so do not worry if you can only come for part of the weekend.
We welcome sides that are first time visitors to Tenterden as well those
who have supported the festival year after year and some who have
been there every year since 1993.
Free
tickets:
We will still be offering free Weekend Tickets to dance sides and
their musicians on a first come first served basis. The Weekend
Tickets covers all events on Friday to Sunday but do not include the
Thursday evening concert which is a special fund raising event.
Due to demand we may have to limit these free tickets.
Camping:
The camp site will again be available from Thursday to Monday with
added toilets and water tank, and is very close to the town
centre. Please help us my booking and paying for camping well
in advance. This helps us with the administration.
Indoor
camping:
We also expect to be able to continue to offer limited indoor camping
to dancers taking part in the Festival. Space is limited so you
will need to book well in advance.
Free
Parking:
We may also be able to offer a limited number of free parking spaces
just a short walk out of town.
Up to 60
sides:
We will be limiting the number of Morris sides and dance display
teams taking part to 60 so if your side wants to be one of them let
us know as soon as possible. If you know of any other sides
that you would like us to invite let me know.

2017
The 25th Tenterden Folk Festival will take place in
October 2017 and we want that to be an extra special weekend so you
may like to put Thursday 5th to Sunday 8th
October 2017 in you diary now to reserve that important date for
coming to Tenterden again..
