Subject: Happy New Year Folks
Hello Everyone
I hope you all had an excellent Christmas and peaceful New Year.
It's been really lovely to have a complete break, but we're excited to be back
and looking forward to the first gig tomorrow at the Black Robin with Katriona
Gilmore and Jamie Roberts. There are just two tickets left if anyone is
interested. You can read all about Kat and Jamie and details of the concert
at the website Gig Diary page. Drop me an email or facebook message if you'd
like them, first come first served. I'm pleased to say the second gig of the
year - the following Sunday with Flossie Malavialle has sold out, but we still
have plenty of availability for the Sunday after that (24th Jan) with The
Watergrain Band, a fine example of our local talented musicians, please
support them if you can.
Steve Knightley & Show of Hands
There are still tickets available for Steve Knightley at the Whitstable
Playhouse with his 'All at Sea' Tour on Friday 5th February, but good seats
are going fast. We heard this week that after many years, Show of Hands have
finally made the BBC Radio 2 Playlist alongside the likes of David Bowie and
One Direction. How has it taken this long? Our best kept secret is about to
be revealed to 'the masses'. What a shame Top of the Pops is no longer, it
would have been great to see them on there ha ha! I am so pleased we have
them coming back to the Gulbenkian on Saturday 30th April as a duo. It will
take me right back to 1997 when I first saw them there and as a result
discovered this incredible world of amazing music and people. Better get your
tickets quick before 'the masses' realise what they've been missing all these
years.

Fairport Convention
Tickets for Fairport (Tues 16th and Wed 17th Feb) are selling very well, with
Tuesday slightly beating Wednesday. I've been lucky enough to get a sneak
preview of the set list and can reveal that it's full of surprises and very
exciting.

Finally - our love and best wishes go to two special people - Martyn Joseph
and Justine Ferland who got married on Thursday in the Brecon Beacons.
There's a beautiful photo of the happy couple on Facebook for those of you who
do that thing.
Here's the Spring line-up so far, with more dates in the pipeline. 2015 was
the best ever year for Folk in the Barn in every way, I can't imagine topping
that in 2016, but we'll definitely try.... See you soon
