Good afternoon to you all! We bring news from the revolving doors of The Lighthouse.

This week is officially Independent Venue Week. We are thrilled to be included as an official venue. The team at IVW are giving a nod to venues like ours and many others around the country in times when we are sadly losing some classic cornerstones of the live music scene.

Here at The Lighthouse we fully appreciate your ongoing support and excitement!

So, as part of Independent Venue Week, we present two special ticketed events! See the poster art below and full details in the listings below.

Tickets can be purchased behind the bar, via Smugglers Records Shop and online HERE.

He is supported on keyboards by the amazing talent of Mike Bishop, who's creates subtle moods with his chord interpretations, combined with imaginative solo playing. Steve King is the superlative bass player in the band, providing not only the harmonic bottom end to the combo but also contributing highly technical and musical solos. Brian Short completes the line up on drums, driving the whole group along and throwing in some nice solo touches when required.

Thursday 28th January

Cocos Lovers

With support from Molly's Lips

Doors 7pm // Live music from 8:30pm // Tickets ?8 in advance - available via Smugglers Records Shop and online HERE

Operating well beyond the remit of alt-folk, Cocos Lovers (pronounced Co-Coss) are a distinctive musical force, seamlessly channeling influences from Africa, the US Deep South and several other real and imagined corners of the globe, while staying ever faithful to their Kentish roots.

Their music swells with powerful choir-like harmonies and glorious widescreen melodies, and they've earned a reputation for fantastic live performances with an ever-changing instrumental line-up of mandolin, acoustic and electric guitars, harmonica, violin, musical saw, flute and a unique blend of drums and percussion. The latest incarnation of their sound sees a healthy step into more electric and psychedelic realms.

This show is in association with Independent Venue Week: A seven-day celebration of small music venues around the UK and a nod to the people that own, run and work in them, week in, week out.
