Friday 12th February

Billy Vincent // Adrian Roye

Open from 5pm // Ale Happy Hour 6-7pm // Live music from 8:30pm

FREE ENTRY

This special acoustic performance will see the band mix a variety of styles from Americana to country, with a taste of shanty rock. With influences from Springsteen, Dylan and Bright Eyes, this is the sound of a band playing with the heart of rock ?n roll, based upon the foundations of Americana. Q Magazine said, "London's seedy underbelly hasn't been chronicled this vividly since The Libertines".

Support on the night comes from Adrian Roye. He writes and performs songs that can veer dramatically in mood between haunting, soaring and infectiously upbeat; mining a rich seam of narratives about characters or states of being that are usually overlooked or consigned to the margins.

Three Cane Whale

They are a multi-instrumental acoustic trio are based in Bristol and feature members of Spiro, Get The Blessing and Scottish Dance Theatre. As intricate as a team of watchmakers, as spare as a mountain stream, the music encompasses both a cinematic sweep and an intimate delicacy, in which "the aroma of muddy leaves and old nettles is almost tangible" (The Observer).

Their delicate acoustic constructions combine ancient folk and contemporary classical ideas to weave an entirely original new musical tradition.

The band are currently on tour promoting their third album ?Palimpsest'.
