While the festival is now 2 days, we
have packed so much into the 2 days you will need the Sunday to recover as this
year we have 3 stages with 65 plus acts for you to enjoy and check out.
Undercover
Festival
has moved to Brighton Racecourse and is once again held undercover i.e. not
outdoors so if it’s pissing down come
September it’s not a problem and your beer won’t get diluted. Leave your
wellies at home, and enjoy one of the best small alternative festivals the
south has to offer this September.
UNDERCOVER FESTIVAL set in and around
the unique setting of Brighton Racecourse, a festival venue and experience that
defies all other conventions and festival templates.
The nature of the venue ensures that everything is
nearby; no long walks between stages, parking is free, and camping is available
literally a short one minute walk from the festival proper.
We
are really pleased to be able to announce THE
SELECTER to play Undercover on
Friday 9th September; The Selecter to play Undercover Festival IV a
band that really does not need that much of an introduction. Since The
Selecter have reformed in 2011 with the original front pair of Pauline Black
and Gaps Hendrickson they have gone from strength to strength.
The
Selecter with the original pair of Pauline Black and Arthur “Gaps” Hendrickson alongside
an incredible talented band of musicians. Including Neil Pyzer (Spear Of
Destiny), Will Crewdson (Rachel Stamp) that you can’t take your eyes
off when they’re on stage. The anarchic passion that fuelled Selecter gigs
during the 2 Tone era, when they toured with the Specials and Madness at the
peak of their early fame is still there, except they seem more driven than
ever.

Menace, The Meow Meows, Charred Hearts, Criminal Mind, Tree House Fire, Riskee

Mistakes, The Disinclined, Comrade X, Ray Gun, Sarah Pink plus a host of
cracking emerging local bands and so much more is shaping up to be the
strongest Friday line up ever at Undercover.
With
bands over the 2 days such as Dreadzone, The Selecter, Spear Of Destiny, Sonic
Boom Six, Eddie & The Hotrods, Peter & The Test Tube Babies, 999,
Chelsea, Sex Pistols Experience, RDF (Radical Dance Faction), XSLF (X Stiff
Little Fingers), Spizzenergi, Anti Pasti, The Cravats, The
JB Conspiracy, Department S, Menace, 1919, Pussycat & The Dirty Johnsons,
Dragster, Witchdoktors, The Meow Meows, Pints, Tree House Fire, Charred Hearts,
Mick O’Toole, Vikki Vortex and the *** * ***** and many more on the line-up
over the weekend, the alternative genre-arching event has most bases covered.
