Subject: Upcoming Show Tuesday 24th May
Dear All
Thank you to all who came to last week's show with Jerimiah
Marques and the Blue Aces, here is a review:
"Well done to Jerimiah for turning up on Tuesday and
putting on his usual polished performance, even though he was suffering a bout
of ill health causing him to sit down and perform, nevertheless treating us to
some great blues and reggae plus a bit of ska thrown in. Jerimiah is
probably one of the most original performers that has played the club; a cross
between Howling Wolf and Bob Marley - no one does it better! His tight
band keeps up with his changes in direction and this outfit are one of the
best playing the clubs. Jerimiah is most certainly a true pro and no
doubt will be back again soon to treat us again."
This month on Tuesday 24th May (not the normal final Tuesday
please note!), we have bluesman Jim Crawford who first came to
the attention of a wider audience when asked to record a session for Paul
Jone's BBC radio show. A rich blues voice and consummate skill on guitar,
including some great slide work makes this an evening not be missed. With
his songs covered by Beth Rowley, no less, he is clearly a
commanding creative force as well and the ultimate accolade paid by Geno
Washington - "He has in own sound, his own style...in fact
he's so damn good....he pisses me off (lol)".
Tickets ?12, pay on the door. Bookings to me at the
return email address. Doors 7.30pm, artist on stage 8.45pm. Good food,
reasonably priced available to eat at your table if required. Further
information, location map etc., available at www.bottleneckblues.com.
So, that's Jim Crawford appearing Tuesday
24th May.
Please do support.
