Gulbenkian is delighted to announce bOing! International Family Festival is back in 2016! Join us this August for an amazing weekend of the very best in theatre, dance, music, films and fun for all the family, packed with magical performances and experiences.

The festival is packed with world premiere?s including our headline performance Pinocchio by Jasmin Vardimon Company and the enchanting Dybwikdans? Princess and the Pea, new commissions Ride and Grandfather?s House and the UK premiere of Pop Up Garden!

bOing! International Family Festival takes place on Saturday, August 27 and Sunday, August 28, on the beautiful University of Kent campus in Canterbury and showcases work by leading UK and international companies, artists and performers. It is free to enter and is bursting with a mixture of free and ticketed performances.

There are loads of ways to join in with bOing!:

Alongside these there will be a silent daytime disco that uses headphone technology, activity tents, films selected specially for bOing! by film critic Mark Kermode, workshops and range of fun and free activities available across both days.

Some of the events are ticketed, with prices ranging from ?1-?6 but many are free and everyone is invited to enjoy the bOing! atmosphere. We advise you to book in advance for the ticketed events as some have limited availability. This year we are running a bOing! special ticket offer which are a great way to enjoy more at the festival and save a few pounds.  Acts at this year?s bOing! include leading theatre companies from across Europe and the UK, featuring Compagnia TPO from Italy, Jasmin Vardimon Company from UK and Dybwikdans from Norway.

Created by Gulbenkian, bOing! launches this year in Canterbury City Centre with wonderful dancers from Protein Dance appearing in unexpected places throughout the week leading up to bOing! All culminating on the Friday 26 August at 3pm in an exciting celebration of different dance styles and live music.

Tickets and further information is available online at www.boingfestival.com or call Gulbenkian Tickets & Information on 01227 769075.
