We're delighted to announce The Marlowe Theatre has
co-commissioned a brand new production from the award-winning
theatre company, The Paper Birds.
Following three sell-out visits to Canterbury with their
critically-acclaimed productions, The Paper Birds return with a
unique and unmissable theatrical experience.
Step into our mobile home, a familiar place, of childhood songs
and family portraits, where the wallpaper projects faded
memories. Explore our sense of home, belonging, aspiration, and
the realities of social mobility. Powerful true stories and
dreams for the future are revealed through video projection,
recorded interviews and original music.
Mobile is Paper Birds' second show in a
trilogy about class in modern Britain. Made for audiences of up to
9 people at a time, this is an intimate 40 minute theatre show
set in a caravan, based on interviews conducted in communities
across the UK, including Kent. With up to 10 shows a day, come
and see this innovative show this July.
