Fresh
from a UK tour with local singer Will Varley, this will be a
welcome return for the duo to the Lighthouse stage.
This duo can often be seen
playing in bands such as Cocos Lovers and The Hellfire
Orchestra, and have become a formidable duo in their own
right.
Their set will include a
mixture of engaging original songs and covers ranging from The
Felice Brothers, Richard Thompson to seafaring shanties.

Led by
exceptional saxophonist Duncan Eagles, Partikel put an
interesting twist on the standard jazz format while still
honoring the tradition of deep harmony and creative
improvisation. Partikel draw influence from African and Latin
American music combined with the style of the contemporary New
York jazz scene.
A quote from JazzWise magazine described the band as, "Turbulent
avant-riffage, lush, cinematic sophistication ... an ambitious
project, convincingly realized."

They
are an Americana band based in Kent. Influenced by the likes of
Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Ryan Adams, Nick Cave, Johnny Cash,
Wilco and The Deep Dark Woods, the band has been carving out a
unique sound in South East England.
With perhaps more hints of alt-country than country, their
music is a blend of fresh, original, dynamic songs and the
occasional obscure cover.
