So,
you may remember our one day pop up festivals (last year we had Tinariwen
headline). This is a similar idea. We've essentially
taken the Smugglers set up and applied it to a travelling
circus' business model. Saturday
11th June, Midday - 11pm we'll be bringing the
finest in folk music, delicious local food, good beer,
workshops, craft stalls...and all this powered by totally renewable
energy...to Walmer
Green, Deal.

Here's the Smugglers Trail Mission Statement;
'The
Smugglers Trail is an Arts Council supported travelling
eco-festival focussing on sustainability and folk and roots music.
We aim to showcase radical ideas around local food and green energy
in a fun and family-friendly environment, bringing together activists,
campaigners, artists and musicians at locations across the country.
Festivals
are a lot of fun, but they can also inspire and connect us. We
believe that the two go hand in hand. As well as showcasing some of
the UK's best folk and roots bands, we want to offer a platform for
new ideas which can help foster communities connected to the
stories of their food, energy and land.'
See you in the fields, renegade Smugglers.
