Welcome to the June edition of Live On The Border. June kicks off of course with the:

Pig's Ear Folk Ale 

2nd - 5th June at Markbeech, Edenbridge.

Thursday 2nd June
8 pm Dance for Grant: Barn dance, Markbeech Village Hall
8 pm Travelling Folk: Singaround at the Kentish Horse


Friday 3rd June
12 noon Open Mic: in the marquee at the Kentish Horse
3.30 pm: Friends of the Folk Ale Concert in the marquee
6 pm: Music & Landscape Workshop: Markbeech Village Hall
7 pm: Touch The Earth: Concert in the marquee
9 pm: Singaround in the Kentish Horse
10 pm: The Twagger Band: Concert in the marquee


Saturday 4th June
10.30 am: Royal Liberty Morris
11.15 am: Friends of the Folk Ale Concert in the marquee
1 pm: Singing for Non-Singers: Workshop with Sarah Benton
1 pm: Craft Fair: in the garden of the Kentish Horse
6 pm: Songs of Peace & Songs of the Sea with Jim Radford
7 pm: The Teacups: Concert in the marquee
9.15 pm: Singaround in the Kentish Horse
10 pm: Larkspur: Concert in the marquee


Sunday 5th June
10:30 am Singing for Non-Singers Pt2 (marquee)
10:45 am: Royal Liberty Morris
11:30 am: Friends of the Folk Ale Concert (marquee)
1 pm: Have-a-go Maypole Dancing with Lyndsey Rule
2 pm: Stanley Accrington: comedy in the marquee
3.15 pm: Friends of the Folk Ale Concert with Jim Radford
7.30 pm Sing for John: final singaround in the pub


Tickets are £27 for the whole festival; £13 for a day ticket; £8 for the barn dance, £6 for the late concerts, available in advance from www.folkale.co.uk or on-site. On-site camping, £6 per night, £15 for the festival - please pre-book via the website.
 

 

Rocking Blues Festival

Stay on after the Folk Ale for another weekend of music at the Kentish Horse.
