Subject: Upcoming Show Tuesday 28th June

Dear All

Thanks to those that came to see Jim Crawford (supported by Danny Kyle) last week.  Here is a review:

"The great thing about the Bottleneck is the different styles of act that play over the course of a year and Jim Crawford was no exception.  Local guitar player Danny Kyle started off the evening, giving us a few numbers and displaying his incredible finger picking style.  When Jim Crawford stands on the stage and starts to chat, you feel like you have known him for years with his laid back, relaxing, style and then he starts to sing Country Blues at its very best.   With his superb finger picking and slide guitar work,  it makes you think of summer days in a large field chilling out like a hippy again!   Jim sings his own songs and some covers, turning them into his own and none better than Bob Dylan's  'North Country Girl'.  Out came the Ukulele to play a few of his own numbers, showing his brilliant song writing skills and the evening ended with Danny joining Jim on stage to play us out.  What a great way to spend a Tuesday evening!"

This upcoming month we have a fabulous show for you in the form of Kaz Hawkins and her Band O' Men, made even more so by the artist being very much the 'act of the moment', not only as her new CD ?Feelin? Good? has just been chosen as one of the four Independent Blues Broadcasters Association?s Picks of the Month for June, however, she is also one of the four bands/artists who are competing in this year?s UK Blues Challenge which takes place on Saturday 12th November 2016 at the Robin 2, Bilston. The winner on the night will represent the UK at the 2017 European Blues Challenge in Denmark as well as the 38th International Blues Challenge in Memphis. People can find out more about this and about the UK Blues Federation who are organising and promoting the Challenge at www.ukblues.org.  (Thanks to my dear friend Ashwyn Smyth, Chairman of UKBlues and long term independent blues broadcaster of note for the information).

I always say it, (as all of our acts are good), however, this one is definitely not to be missed, a real peach of a show in store for you!

Tickets ?12.00, pay on the door.   Bookings to me at the return email address.  Doors open 7.30pm, band on stage 8.45pm.  Good food, reasonably priced, available to eat at your table if required.  Further information, upcoming shows, location map etc., available at www.bottleneckblues.com.  There is also a Kaz Hawkins poster on the 'gig list' page to give you a fore-taster.

So, that's Kaz Hawkins and her Band O' Men appearing Tuesday 28th June (early booking recommended).

Please do support.
