Hello Everyone
This is my last chance of any internet for a few days so I just wanted to let
you know that I've been tucked away in a lovely hotel room in Banbury for the
past few days working hard to make sure the Folk in the Barn website is fully
updated and all booking links are active. It's finally done - Hooray! You
can now book online for all the 2016 Autumn Winter concerts, and of course
direct from me at the gigs, by cash or cheque, once the season starts.
You can find the whole Gig Diary HERE.....

Hope you like what
we've got in store. Each page has full event and artist details, clips and
booking links.
The whole thing kicks off on 11th September with the wonderful Richard Digance
at the Gulbenkian along with the extraordinarily multi-talented annA rydeR.
For those that are missing Cropredy or those who'd like to re-live that
special Saturday lunchtime spot, this will be your chance.
Fotheringay
You may have heard the terrible news that Jerry Donahue suffered a stroke last
week and is very poorly. There are regular updates on his progress on
facebook and as soon as we know more we'll let you know. Meanwhile the band
have decided to carry on in his absence. He is of course irreplaceable, but
PJ Wright will be stepping up to fill those parts that only Jerry can play, in
his own excellent style and we hope that Fotheringay fans will continue to
support the other members of the band at this difficult and worrying time. As
Gerry Conway said to me yesterday, it is after all about those wonderful
songs.
We're about to be evicted from this room so will shortly be heading over to
the Cropredy site in readiness for the exciting festival weekend ahead. I'm
told there are still some tickets available if anyone decides to be
spontaneous and fancies trying what many say is the best weekend of their
lives.

It's a fantastic line-up
including Canterbury favourites Coco and the Butterfields.
I know some of you are coming up for the first time and also many who are
already regulars. The weather forecast is looking fantastic and the camp sites
all in excellent condition. Look forward to seeing you around and about (at
the Bar). I'll be heading to the Brasenose on Saturday to see Gerry Colvin
who is playing as part of the fringe, so come and say hi. You'd have to miss
Richard Digance, but of course you can see him in Sept to make up for that ha
ha!
If you're not coming up for Crops there is of course wonderful Broadstairs
Folk Week to keep you very happy and entertained. We managed to grab a few
hours there on Saturday and loved the new layout at the Marquee Bar area.
Some lovely music coming up too. Wish I could be in two places at once. Do go
if you've never been.
Have a great rest of the Summer, hope the sun continues to shine, and see you
back at the Gulbenkian in September.
Bye for now
Debs
