St Edith Folk is back after a short summer break, with The Men They Couldn't Hang on Friday 2nd September. Russell Joslin provides the support act.

A general meeting to set up an organisation to plan and run next year's Pig Ear Folk Ale takes place on Saturday 3rd September at Markbeech Village Hall.

Wood Day at Bough Beech

Bough Beech, Winkhurst Green, Ide Hill, Sevenoaks, TN14 6LD

Bough Beech Visitor Centre are celebrating their annual Wood Day on Sunday 4th September. Everyone is welcome to come along between 2 pm and 4.30 pm 

Woodcraft activities will be on show, with lots of opportunities for 'having a go' . Free Range Folk and friends will be providing a musical backdrop.

Elsie's Music Nights

Elsie's Band host monthly Saturday folk nights at the iconic "Elsie's" pub just outside Edenbridge. 

Saturday September 17th: Jim Bainbridge

There are informal song/music sessions at The Queen's Arms from 8.30 pm on the second Tuesday of each month. All welcome.

Tonbridge Folk Club

Ye Olde Chequers Inn, 122 High Street, Tonbridge, Kent, TN9 1AS.

The club meets on the first and third Monday of the month at 8 pm.  No fixed entry fee; a hat collection will be taken during the evening.

Mon 5th Sept:  Jed Grimes
Songs from Ireland, Northumbria and Appalachia, accompanied by guitar and bouzouki. Welcome return of a skilled entertainer

Mon 19th Sept: Steve Turner
A skilled player on the concertina, he also accompanies himself with the cittern, mandolin and banjo. Superb singing of mainly traditional songs. 

Mon 3rd Oct: Phil Hare
An acclaimed performer, Phil combines passionate performances of the finest material, with skilled finger picking guitar work.

Every Wednesday 2 pm: Eden Songsters, The Eden Centre, Four Elms Road, Edenbridge. Daytime drop-in for all ages. Develop musical skills for singing in choir or simply come and enjoy the songs in a supportive group. Open to all - no need to read music.Pop in for a free ?taster' session!

4th Sunday 25th Sept 8 pm - The HOOTENANNIE at A&B Sports Pavilion, Ashurst TN3 9TJ  Bar/gates open 7.30 (A264 by rail bridge traffic lights)
