GARDEN

Garden
by Lucy Grace
Produced by How Small. How Far
Monday to Friday, Lucy catches the 8am train to London Bridge. 9am,
her day begins at Insignia Asset Management, where she is in charge
of the photocopier, printer, scanner, shredder and binder. She is
the only person in the office who knows how to clear a paper jam.
She's starting to wonder how this fits into the Grand Scheme of
Things. One day, her life takes an unexpected turn when she rescues
the long-suffering office pot plant. In her flat, 24 floors up, she
begins to plant, cultivate and nurture her own personal wilderness.
Garden is a humorous and poetic story about trying to form a
meaningful connection to the world, when you feel out of step with
everyone else in it.
???? "Quietly revolutionary" The Scotsman
???? "Grace's performance is a breath of fresh
air" ThreeWeeks
???? "I haven't cared so much about a character in
a long time" Broadway Baby
???? "Gives its audience a thirst to live their own
lives with a little more joy & spontaneity" The Skinny
SHORTLISTED FOR THE BRIGHTON FRINGE AWARD FOR THEATRE EXCELLENCE

THE
INEVITABLE HEARTBREAK OF GAVIN PLIMSOLE
7:30pm,
?10
Winner of the Les Enfant Terribles Award 2016.
If
you had a finite number of heartbeats, how would you make each beat
count?
Gavin is given a life-changing diagnosis. In the space between the
beat before this revelation and the beat after, he assesses his
entire life; what has he done with those beats? Which has he thrown
away? And how many did he lose when She broke his heart...?
Gavin Plimsole is hoarding his heartbeats in the shed at the bottom
of his garden; he may not have enough heartbeats left, so he will
need to borrow some of yours... We will measure your heartbeat
throughout the show, using state of the art fitness heart rate
monitors - in return for sharing your heart beats, Gavin will send
you out to see each beat in a different way.
