Musicians against Homelessness
The first ever Musicians
Against Homelessness kicks off this weekend, and we're
pumped to be supporting the nationwide festival as official
ticketing partners. The brainchild of Oasis guru Alan McGee, MAH runs from September 18th to October 9th and sees hundreds of gigs take place across the UK,
raising money for homeless charity Crisis and providing gig
opportunities for up-and-coming bands along the way. Read on for
more info and our pick of what's happening.

Night Time Industries Association /
#nightlifematters
Like
many of you, we were saddened by the decision to close Fabric
earlier this month and feel it sets a dangerous and worrying
precedent. We believe strongly that a rich and varied nightlife
contributes hugely both economically and culturally to the UK,
and should be celebrated and supported rather than
vilified. This is why we've partnered with the NTIA (Night Time Industries
Association) to
back their #nightlifematters
campaign.

#Nightlifematters: Lend your support
now
Now, more than ever, our diverse night culture is under
threat. Strict licensing laws, unchecked housing development in
historically late night areas, and a lack of awareness about the
benefits of nightlife have led to a 50% decrease in venues across the
country. Sign up to the #nightlifematters
manifesto now and send a message to your local councillor and MP, and
support the UK's wonderfully creative night time industry.
|
|
The Night
Time Industries Association promotes the unique contribution made by
the UK's nightlife, and campaigns to support and protect music
venues, nightclubs and businesses. A thriving nightlife is
beneficial culturally and economically, and we're proud to support
the work they do and be an official partner of their #nightlifematters
campaign.
