Subject: Upcoming Show Tuesday 25th October
Dear All
Thank you to all who came to see Lisa Mills last
week. Here is a review:
"On Tuesday night at the Bottleneck there was one of
the finest singer songwriters to ever play the club - all the way from the
Mississipi! The superb Lisa Mills - this lady can really sing: blues, gospel, r
& b, even a touch of jazz...
One lady and her guitar standing on
the stage, looking quite lonely until she opens her mouth and lets rip!
Performing tracks from her new album Mamas' Juke Box including
songs by Bonnie Rait, Aretha Franklin - Lisa gives 100% and then some! Coming
off stage at the end of the evening, drained, to a massive round of applause.
Many singers take on covers that should be left alone and Jimi Hendrix's Little
Wing is always a big challenge - not for this lady! Many people compare
her to Bonnie Rait and you can't get much better than this for ?12.00 on a
Tuesday night, that's for sure."
For this month we have an artist who
appeared at the club last year after a fairly long absence and made such an
impact that just had to have him back this year. That artist is Wes
Weston and his Bluesonics. Possibly, the ultimate in the
presentation of blues in the jump style and a world class harmonica player. Truly
great entertainment!
Tickets ?12.00, pay on the door. Bookings to me at
the return email address. Doors open 7.30pm, band on stage 8.45pm. Good
food, reasonably priced, available to eat at your table if required. Further
information, upcoming shows, location map etc., available at www.bottleneckblues.com.
So, that's Wes Weston and his Bluesonics appearing
on Tuesday 25th October.
Please do support.
