Psychedelic pilgrims head back to their roots!

 

Psychedelic pilgrims Syd Arthur head back to home stomping ground as the leading lights in an evening celebrating the 'New Canterbury Sound' at Gulbenkian on Friday 18 November.


Recently back in the UK following extensive touring in the US including performances at South by Southwest and Coachella, the band will be hosting a night of music to celebrate the launch of their fourth studio album Apricity.   Taking us on a journey through the psychedelic fusion of progressive rock & jazz that connects them with the fabled Canterbury scene in their first hometown gig in over 2 years.

 

Syd Arthur are an English psychedelic jazz band, formed in Canterbury in 2003 and the current line-up includes founding members Liam (frontman), Joel Magill and Raven Bush. Following the departure of Fred Rother due to severe hearing difficulties, drummer Josh Magill joined officially in 2016 and features on Syd Arthur?s fourth studio album Apricity.

 

Joining Syd Arthur on the bill for a night celebrating the ?New Canterbury Sound? will be Leonie Evans, Luke Smith, The Quartet and Bison Bonasus.
