Pat Shaw Dance
Workshops
2017 is the centenary of Pat Shaw's birth. As well as being an amazing
choreographer, Pat Shaw researched and interpreted dances from 17th,
18th and early 19th century Dancing Masters, including Playford of
course. He also researched traditional English dances collected in the
early 20th century.
To celebrate Pat Shaw's amazing work I am planning to run a monthly
series of two-hour workshops on Sunday afternoons (2:30-4:30) in
Maidstone, between February and July.
While his repertoire includes some simple dances, many of them have
interesting challenges, but they are all great fun.
There will be a small charge for the workshops - basically just enough
to cover the cost of the hall.
Please spread
the word to as many dancers as you can.
Please let me
know if you are interested in attending any of these workshops.
I need to be sure that we have enough people interested to make the
workshops a success.
