Subject: Spring newsletter

A good year so far and looking ahead...

View this email in your browser

Realised it's about time for a newsletter. It's been a busy year so far... tours by Tuulikki Bartosik & Hannah James in January; Stephen Fearing in February with new CD Every Soul's a Sailor; Steve Tilston & Jez Lowe in March/April celebrating The Janus Game and Rebecca Pronsky with Rich Bennett in April, back in the UK after a 3-year break, belatedly sharing last year's release Known Objects.
Sunjay has been working on a new album, more news on that as I have it. That's been overshadowed slightly by an interesting career development, as Sunjay's currently playing the role of Buddy Holly in the 25th Anniversary Buddy Holly & The Cricketers show, touring theatres around the UK now and going well by all accounts.
Buddy Mondlock will be in Ireland with Mike Lindauer in July and has decided to add an early August trip to the UK onto that - can you help?
Looking ahead to 2018 starting to think about tours for Ian Sherwood (April/May), Tilston & Lowe in Scotland (June), Kristina Olsen (August), Stephen Fearing and Rebecca Pronsky (exact dates TBC).
And if you happen to be in the Bristol area on 6 May, Karen Tweed & Karen Street have a special charity event lined up at the Colston Hall, to celebrate World Accordion Day.
Below you'll find news of tours, album releases and future plans. We're sure you'll find the perfect something to include in your upcoming programme. Please can you let me know of your interest, I'd be delighted to discuss options with you.
best wishes

MELISSA GREENER (USA)

Nashville Folk Crooner - touring November 2017
Streets of Abiline co-write with Guy Clark.
She's stunning check her out!

Her songs captivate with refreshing, quirkily crafted lyrics, dynamic melodies and loads of groove, supported by vocal that simultaneously devastate and command. Transistor Corazon is her third studio release, exploring complexities of the heart - the circuitry versus the soul, the mana versus the machine.

BUDDY MONDLOCK (USA)
Touring August 2017 with Mike Lindauer (fretless bass)
A regular at the Bluebird Cafe made famous by the TV series Nashville, Buddy is one of Nashville's finest songwriters. He's one of those understated performers who is quietly brilliant and has a special charisma which it's difficult to pinpoint and then you're reminded of just how powerful it is when you hear those lyrically visual songs live again!

"Repeated instances of magic woven by word and melody are what constitute a great album, and from the outset to the final dying note Mondlock's The Memory Wall shines." Maverick
