12th May - Mike O'Connor & Barbara Griggs

Support - Moose Rosser

Thank you to all who came to see Ric Sanders Trio last Friday. It was a very different kind of music to our 'norm' but highly entertaining and uplifting. It was very hard to sit still to the infectious rhythms. We are re-booking them for next year so the rest of you also will have the opportunity to enjoy this 'feel good' musical evening.

Coming next on Friday 12th May is the delightful duo from Cornwall, Mike O'Connor and Barbara Griggs.
Mike and Barbara have been to the club a few times and proved very popular.
Mike and Barbara perform with great artistry and style, plus a lot of humour. Mike is well-known for his evocative songs, such as ?Carrying Nelson Home' and his iconic folk operas ?Cornish Lads', ?Unsung Heroes' and ?The Cry of Tin'. Mike and Barbara are great violinists, plus Barbara will be bringing her harp and Mike his concertina.

Supporting Mike and Barbara we have The Voice from East Anglia, Moose Rosser. Moose was with us at Christmas with the mellifluous Sound Tradition, but this time he is all alone, just him and his amazing voice.

Tickets for this evening of delights are only £10 booked in advance, £12 unbooked.
To book please reply to this email or email John on j.w.butcher_at_btinternet_dot_com or call John on 01747 850212.

PLEASE NOTE: Kathy is going on holiday from 26th April until 5th May so emails may not be responded to immediately, or you can call Kathy after 5th May on 01202 732239.

Only two more concerts after Mike and Barbara before we take our summer break; Chris and Kellie While on 2nd June, and Jess and Richard Arrowsmith on June 30th.
Do check out the website for more details and the concerts coming up in the Autumn.

Yours in music
John & Kathy
