Deadline for entries - Friday 21 July 2017

The competition launched this week, with application forms and free teaching resources sent out to all the Schools accross the region. If you think your school could do with a nudge, please send your teachers to the below link. The winning entries will be printed in an anthology and poets invited to read at an award ceremony in October where certificates and prizes will be presented.

It is time to release that inner poet and put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) and send us your poems, limericks, ballads, odes, haikus, whatever! Generously support by the School of English at the University of Kent, the prizes are £200 for the winner, £100 for second and £50 for third places. There is even a bottle of sparkling wine for the Best Read poem!
