Before the next installment of gig
listings for May and early June, first a bit of news about Le Q Records?
Le Q Records has just released its 10th album!
?The Three Gypsy
Patrons' was recorded live at Le Q late last year. It features Aurelien Bouly, Herve Gaguenetti, Ducato Piotrowski,
Sid Gauld (on trumpet!), and Le Q Allstars bassist, Jonny Gee.
It sounds great! As with all our music, visit our online store to either order
a physical copy of the CD, or indeed a digital download?up to you! If you
haven't visited the music store for a while, you'll see that all our music
produced by Le Q records is available as downloads now.

music of Django, Daj Dook take their love of the traditions of Gypsy jazz and
form a style that brings the music forward into the modern swing scene. take a

MOODSWING are an established
Jazz Quartet playing a mix of Gypsy Jazz numbers, Latin and well known
tunes
from The American Songbook.

Flute, Mandolin, Violin) and Mike Bennett on Double Bass.
Sunday 21 May - The Cats Whiskers

"The Cat's Whiskers" are a
fresh new quartet of young London-based musicians, who perform an eclectic mix
of the Hot Club Jazz of Django Reinhardt, 30s Swing, Bebop, Bossa Nova and
Contemporary Jazz, all reinvented in their own youthful, exuberant style.
Monday 22 May - The Gatsby Swing
Trio, ?7 in advance
The Gatsby Swing trio features three
great players. Hugh Crozier is one of Britain's leading exponents of
stride piano. Hugh works in the tradition of such greats as Fats Waller and
Jelly Roll Morton. On clarinet and saxophone is Bernie Holden, well known to
Que regulars for his frequent appearances at the weekly jam
sessions and the acclaimed Quecumbar All Stars album. Appearing for the first
time at the Que is the wonderful trumpet playing of the young Mike Prestage,
who adds his great sound and improvising skills to the trio.
Sunday 28 & Monday 29 May - Paul
Gregory's MoDjango Jazz Manouche Collective, ?10 in advance
Mr Paul Gregory, of Liverpudlian
fame and fortune (MoDjango, Troika and other bands) returns to London, bringing
his Gypsy swing/Jazz Manouche collective.
Sunday 4 & Monday 5 June - Pixie
& The Gypsies, ?10 and ?8, in advance
Pixie and the Gypsies are a band
playing rock, pop and disco classics in a vintage gypsy swing style. Featuring
musicians who have toured the Far East, Europe and the Americas and have
performed at such prestigious venues as Ronnie Scott's, the Southbank Centre,
Glastonbury and Hyde Park Calling. Pixie and the Gypsies are: Taylor Notcutt -
Vocals, Connie Chatwin - Violin, Matt Burgass - Guitar and Arthur O'Hara -
