Saturday 27 May- Sunday 4 June 2017
Gulbenkian, Canterbury

This half term Gulbenkian are bringing some of the world?s best companies to Kent to perform work that is brilliant, beautiful and engaging to young (and not so young) audiences.

Inspired by one of the best-loved fairy tales and featuring famous characters from Little Red Riding Hood, Suites Curieuses mischievously plays in the shadows of a magical world where animation comes to life.  This playful work is perfect for ages 2+ and their families, with stunning staging -  look out for the toy train! Company Cas Public are from Canada and are coming to Gulbenkian as part of a UK tour, performing Suites Curieuses on Sunday 28 May.

Bambert is an impossibly small man with an enormous love for writing. Tucked away in his quiet attic, his only companions are the characters he has created in his stories. And then one day, Bambert decides to set his stories free, to send them out into the world on little balloons, but will they find a home?  Find out in Bambert?s Book of Lost Stories on Saturday 3 June.  Flying in from Australia, directly after performing at the Edinburgh International Children?s Festival (Imaginate), this is Barking Gecko Theatre Company?s only performance in England!

Roll, squeeze and pop yourself through the squishiest, squashiest show for babies, young children and their grown-ups! SPONGE - a soft, bouncy adventure through playtime and dreamtime set to a funky 1970s soundtrack, including disco favourites The Hustle and Car Wash is on Sunday 4 June. Suitable for 4 months- 4years but just as much fun for 40 year olds.

Help us make a show! Inside is an intimate, immersive multi-sensory puppetry show for early years being developed at Gulbenkian on Wednesday 31 May.

Plus unmissable family films including Peppa Pig: My First Cinematic Experience and The LEGO Batman Movie 3D!
