Chris and Kellie While
2nd June 2017
What a fabulous night of
traditional style music and tales we had last night with Mike
O'Connor and Barabara Griggs. The evening started with the amazing
voice of Moose Rosser with a variety of songs, followed by a varied
selection of Mike's works. The Wessex Acoustic Choir was in great
voice too. Thank you to all who came. Special thanks to our Andy
Stone for superb sound.
John's wife, Roz, was missing from the event as she is in hospital
recovering from a replacement knee operation, which is looking very
successful. I am sure we all wish her a safe and speedy recovery.
How thrilled we are to have Chris While
and her daughter, Kellie,
back at the club. Chris has never been so busy with her various
musical projects as now, so concerts with Kellie are few and far
between. As it stands at the moment, this concert is one of only
two planned for 2017!
Chris is one of the great
singer-songwriters around with a voice above all others, apart from
maybe Kellie's! Sublime ballads, tunes and lyrics set Chris and
Kellie's work above the rest. Contemporary folk music at it's very
best.
Providing opening support, we have a first time visit from Chris
King, a great singer-guitarist from East Anglia we have had the
pleasure of seeing perform on a few occasions.
We are expecting considerable interest in this concert so please do
book early.
Tickets are ?14 if you book ahead, ?16 unbooked.
Book your place by replying to this email, calling Kathy on 01202

After Chris and Kellie, we only have one more concert before the
summer break. That is Jess and Richard Arrowsmith on June 30th (not
23rd as in flyer). Make sure you mark your diary now to keep that
night free.
Please help us keep bring top professional musicians to Blandford
by supporting the club when you can.
We hope to see you at one of our concerts soon.
