I wonder if you'd be happy to publicise this event for me event though it's not Bluegrass. [for info., Rod played fiddle, guitar, banjo, mandolin and sang lead and harmony in the original Liverpool Bluegrass Ramblers (1960s) and later in the London based Armadillos and Bluegrass Ramblers (1980s-90s), as well as being a regular at the Engineer old-time sessions]

The event is called "The Beatles Skiffle Roots" and it is on Sunday 2 July at The Oaks Theatre, Knole Academy, Sevenoaks, TN13 3LE at 3pm.

I'll be talking about the origins of Skiffle and the Quarrymen, with musical illustrations with guitar, washboard and tea-chest bass, plus digital slides, followed by a full-on set from The Lonnigans. This is all in aid of The Ridge View Special Needs School in Tonbridge. Mandolin for sale:

Eric Kwiatkowsky has a mandolin for sale - a late 1980s Flatiron F-style 'Performer', which he bought new;  still in first class condition, with no finish scars or wear and no splits or structural defects.
