THURSDAY 15th JUNE
'STAND UP ON THE STRAND' - COMEDY NIGHT
Open from 5pm // Comedy from 8pm
Tickets ?8 in advance - available via Smugglers Records Shop and online HERE
(Tickets ?10 on the door - subject to availability)

 

The venue is proud to welcome five great acts featuring some of the best established and up-and-coming comedians from London, the South East and beyond.     

Headliner Jon Long delivers clever gags and witty songs with laser-guided timing. Also performing is Darius Tabai who's act has been described as "hilarious, warm and dark in equal measure."     

The line-up is completed with performances from Milton Wilson, Romina Puma and Helen Bauer. Curator of the night Nessie Ward will compere the evening.

 

FRIDAY 16th JUNE
WE GHOSTS
Open from 5pm // Live music from 8:30pm
FREE ENTRY

 

Comprising of English singer, songwriter and guitarist John Christopher and Swedish singer Jenny Woodall. They've enchanted audiences in both of their home countries, elsewhere in Europe and the U.S.     

Their fine blend of vocal harmony plus punchy, rolling acoustic guitar rhythms make for a splendid live show worthy of any stage and their atmospheric, eerie and inventive recordings have been used in soundtracks as well having received frequent airplay.

SATURDAY 17th JUNE
JOUIS

The Brighton based group perform psychedelic and funky grooves, doused with magnificent, multi-cloured three-part harmonies.

In fact, their name is derived from the French noun ?Jouissance' which translates as "high enjoyment, pleasure, super-metric groove, orgasm, melody, harmony."

 

SUNDAY 18th JUNE
'SUNDAY SERVICE' feat. JESSOP JESSOP JESSOP
Open from 12pm // Serving food 12:30 - 3:30pm // Live music from 4pm
FREE ENTRY

 

They are a London-based jazz sextet comprised of students at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama and The Royal Academy of Music.

Drawing influences from the music of Cannonball Adderley, Horace Silver, Cedar Walton and Benny Golson, Jessop Jessop Jessop's dedication to swinging hard and each player's personal identity produces music both steeped in tradition and yet fresh enough for the modern audience.
