The RPCO return to Castle Concerts

The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra (RPCO) are back at this year?s Rochester Castle Concerts and will be joined on stage by special guests Laura Wright, Jonathan Antoine and Hertfordshire Chorus.

Proms takes place on Sat, 15 July and is the pre-eminent place to be seen this summer. So put on your gladrags, grab your candelabra, relax and let the music move you. Book now!

Come along and support our service men and women at the Armed Forces Day on Sat, 24 June at the Great Lines Heritage Park, a free public event presented by Medway Council in conjunction with the Royal School of Military Engineering. Highlights include military and veterans parade, drumhead service and have-a-go activities - including drive a digger. Find out more.

Live on stage with Radio Two?s Leo Green with musicians, dancers and singers dancing through the 50s. Explore Medway by bike

Cyclists have miles of new routes to explore as we officially opened a network of sporting and recreational trails during National Bike Week.

We were awarded ?2.5million from the Central Government Local Growth Fund, supplemented with ?300,000 from the council?s Local Transport Plan, to improve cycling opportunities in Medway. Existing cycle routes have been extended and cyclists now have more than 70 miles of on-road, off-road and green cycle routes to explore. Find out more.

Chatham?s transformation into city centre begins

Medway Council has secured ?4million of government funding to help regenerate Chatham and make it a better place for residents, workers and visitors.

Members of the Cabinet and senior council officials attended the town centre on Mon, 19 June to mark the start of the improvement works. The project, known as Chatham Placemaking, is due to be completed in 2018. Find out more.

Medway residents are encouraged to take part in the consultation which started on Wed, 31 May and runs until 5pm on Wed, 12 July. This gives residents the opportunity to have their say in how early help services and children?s centre support should be provided.

A brand new family history and local studies centre is opening on Bryant Road, Strood on Tues, 4 July with more of Medway's historical records online and experts on hand to help you discover more about your family history and the local area.
