In just a couple of weeks, this year's Oxjam Hackney
will take place in London Fields. One of many Oxjam Festivals around the country, it
will see the local community get together to help end poverty
around the globe.
Run entirely by volunteers, the
festival promotes grassroots music and local artists,
all carefully hand-picked to find the next up-and-coming stars; previous Oxjam artists
include Rag?n'Bone Man and the Mystery Jets - and this year's
line-up features plenty of acts with that star potential
across a wide range of genres including rock, funk, disco, house,
electronica, afro beats, world music and acoustic sets.
Artists on the line-up include: Winnie and The Rockettes, Jimmi Nolan,
Discotto, Passion Bel Canon, Savage Animal Sounds, Lucid Stannard,
James Beau Barclay, Seraphim Dance, Reverb Bistro, Ocsid Werks,
Kadialy Kouyate and The Roves, with more special
guests to be announced.
With such an incredible line-up celebrating the best of the local
music scene and all
proceeds donated to Oxfam to help those living in poverty,
