Sarah Savoy's been called the Cajun version of
great female artists Patti Smith, Wanda Jackson, and Patsy Cline,
and she has distinguished herself within the world's First Family
of Cajun Music by stirring those already-rocking traditional tunes
into a simmering sauce of country raunch'n'roll. She has perfected
an amazing repertoire which includes many of the old Cajun
tunes almost lost in time
She plays guitar and accordion and sings as only
she can, she is at the top of her game belting out Cajun classics
and her own songs. She oozes personality, good humour and charisma.
Sarah speaks English, French, and Russian, teaches Cajun dancing
and cooking, and wrote The Savoy Kitchen--A Family History of
Cajun Food.
After 6 years of success with Sarah Savoy &
the Francadians, Sarah decided to branch off in another direction
and pursue her accordion-playing heritage with a new band.
Come and see her and the band at The Cajunbarn before she heads off
in another direction
