Thank you for all who came down
to this season's Campfire Club performances. In all we hosted 21
shows, with so many beautifully flickering, wood smoked musical
highlights across four fantastic venues. Plans are already
afoot for the expansion of the series for 2018, but between now
and then there are plenty of exciting treats in store.
Our brand new series
Porridge and Knowledge will be bringing together
inspiring speakers and live musicians for an eat as much as you
like breakfast feast every fortnight across the Autumn. Tickets
are just ?15 for adults, and include all you can eat
breakfast, music, entertainment, and the added
benefit of providing a great start to your weekend. For those of
you keen to check out the full program, why not grab one of our season tickets,
and save up to ?25 off the price of buying individually?
Our Folk
at the Foundling season got off to a captivating
start last Friday, thanks to electrifying performances from
Josienne Walker, Kit Downes, and Jeff Warner. There are more
exciting performances ahead from Ranagri and Solasta this month,
and next month Gabby Young will be taking to the stage in the
Foundling Museum's beautiful and intimate Picture Gallery.
We're also putting on loads of gigs in other venues across London
this month: Lisa O'Neill will be taking on our favourite
Islington haunt The Old Queen's Head, and elsewhere
we'll be bringing you everything from the revolutionary
Malian griot of Trio da Kali to the groove-infused strings of
Laura Cortese & The Dance Cards.
Finally, we would also love to hear of your favourite Campfire
Club moments of 2017 for our end of season review, so please post
any pics and memories to our twitter or instagram account.
Hope to see at at some of our upcoming shows. Do come and say hi!

And Don't Miss...
The Ceilidh Liberation Front
The Ceilidh Liberation Front was set up 5 years ago by Sam Lee,
and is the Nest Collective house band. They are quite simply
masters of the ceilidh, breathing life vim vigour and riotous
virtuosity into the tradition and carving out a reputation as one
of the most innovative and uplifting ceilidh bands in the UK. The
CLF is coming to the end of an amazing summer, with multiple
festival appearances including Port Elliot, Cambridge Folk and
Wilderness, plus shows with Sadler's Wells, the Southbank Centre
and numerous private functions. We are now taking bookings for
2018, and would be happy to discuss any weddings, parties,
festivals or events that you might be planning. Contact captain_at_thenestcollective_dot_co_dot_uk
for more details. See you on a dance floor soon!
