The
Lighthouse opens it's doors on Thursday to host the latest Deal Hop Farm
meeting.
The Hop Farm has grown from the idea is to create a patchwork
farm to grow hops using in people's gardens, allotments and in
the town's community gardens and spaces. This meeting will
feature reports on harvesting and the up-coming brewing
process. Andy Mitchell from Ripple Steam Brewery will be
attending to give updates and answer any questions. The meeting
starts at 6:30pm and all are welcome to attend.
After the Hop Farm meeting, the pub will host the monthly Record Club Night.
The Lighthouse team has concocted a night to please all the
vinyl lovers out there. Enthusiasts are invited to share their
love of music with this chance to bring their selections to be
played on the in-house sound system. All styles of music are
welcome, as long as it comes on vinyl. Participants are allowed
to select one side of a 12" LP or a small selection of 7"
discs.

FRIDAY 6th OCTOBER
MARTHA HILL (BAND SHOW)
Open from 5pm // Live music from 8:30pm
FREE
ENTRY
|
|
Martha is a Newcastle based singer-songwriter
from Scotland. Accompanied by cellist Ceitidh Mac and
multi-instrumentalist Sharon, Martha Hill and her band play a
beautiful blend of genres, captivating audiences all over the
country.
With their roots firmly in folk and jazz, there is a definite
timelessness and nostalgia to their music, but since branching
out into electronic and pop music, they are far from
traditional.
