Subject: Upcoming Show Tuesday 24th October

Dear All

Thank you to all who came to see the Zoe Schwarz Blue Commotion last week.

Here is a review:

"Zoe Schwarz and her Blue Commotion came to the Bottleneck on a nice warm September evening to sing some of her own songs and some covers.  She made the evening even warmer - and can that lady sing!  From the minute that Zoe and her fine band get on stage they give one hundred per-cent, and some.  This is true whether she is rocking along or singing those big ballads that she belts out.  Rob Koral (her husband) is co-songwriter and a fine guitar player that does not try to steal the limelight - he knows where the crowd are concentrating their attention! The drummer, Paul Robinson, works his socks off to keep a rhythm and, as this band has no bass player, to make it work completely, the Hammond organ player, Pete Whittaker, also helps out playing a steady bass rhythm plus the clever intricate playing he likes to do.  Highlights of the evening were many and the standout numbers included Angel of Mercy, I Believe in You, plus a great version of Billy Holiday's Fine and Mellow.  This is adult music that makes people go home happy on a Tuesday night - things are not so bad when you can go out and listen to superb live music in the middle of the week!  Alan"

For this month, on Tuesday 24th October, we have Migden, Gibson, Simmons - American Roots.  Essentially, the duo of David Migden and Joe Gibson along with fine piano player Richard Simmons.  Migden and Gibson, component of the 'Twisted Roots' outfit (although they have been playing together as a duo since their teens).  Whatever the combination, another act driven by the flaming talent that is David Migden and an accompanying guarantee of pure quality.

Tickets ?12.00, pay on the door.  Bookings to me at the return email address.  Doors open 7.30pm, band on stage 8.45pm.  Good food, reasonably priced, available to eat at your table if required.  Further information, upcoming shows, location map etc., available at www.bottleneckblues.com

So, that's Migden, Gibson, Simmons - American Roots appearing on Tuesday 24th October and please bear in mind that this is not the traditional last Tuesday of the month and is, essentially, a week 'early'.

Don't forget to tell your family, friends and work colleagues about the club - or just drag them along for a great evening!

Please do support.
