Sidmouth FolkWeek 3-10 August 2018

Ear to the past, eye on the future

Volunteering _at_ Sidmouth FolkWeek

Nestled in stunning red-cliffs and green Sid Valley, Sidmouth comes alive during FolkWeek as the streets and venues burst with festive atmosphere and colour, and holidaymakers and festival goers join together in the friendliest music-based holiday of the summer. A memory-making experience rather than just a festival.

Our brilliant team of volunteers are offered a unique experience, able to enjoy the festival itself, the camaraderie of great teams and the bonus of a gorgeous seaside setting.

A Day in the Life? Volunteer hours can be as little as a few hours a day?.then the time is yours to enjoy. The range of opportunities for festival volunteers are as diverse as the programme of music, dance and song. You could be helping guests settle in to the campsite in the morning, or helping with a workshop at the Children's Festival, or helping on the door at a venue ?before maybe enjoying a long lunch on the beach, a social get together at the Betsy's Lounge Bar, overlooking the valley, as the sun sets?.and all with a magical musical soundtrack! With beach, countryside, town and venues all within walking distance from each other, the volunteer experience at Sidmouth FolkWeek offers something few, if any other, festivals can match.

Roles range from welcoming guests onto the campsite to looking after a small workshop venue. The opportunities are truly varied! Don't expect your normal "green field" festival volunteer experience. It's way more memorable than that.

With over 20 venues used, from permanent buildings to marquee venues, there is a huge amount to take in in a single week. As well as the concerts and shows, there's dance, craft, processions, music fairs, children's festival or workshops ?and much more.

The volunteer experience at Sidmouth FolkWeek really is something that little bit beyond the norm. Alongside that unique Sidmouth festival vibe, what else can you expect?
