Grant Rule Memorial Concert
St John's Church Marsh Green, Edenbridge TN8 5PU

Friday 8 June : 7:30 for 8:00 

This year's Memorial Concert features James Kerry, Roger Resch, Silk Purse (Sue & Lyndsey Rule), Round House Folk, Alan Austen and Linda Smith. They will be performing individually, and rounding off the evening collectively as Free Range Folk. A great evening's entertainment guaranteed.

Marsh Green village will be providing a bar. Proceeds from the evening will go to the Grant Rule Trust and the Marsh Green defibrillator fund.

Afternoon concerts feature the feast of local talent offered by the Friends of the Folk Ale

The music starts on Thursday evening 31st May with a ceilidh with
Foot Down and guests, and runs through to Sunday evening's Festival Folk Club session which this year features guest performers Elsie's Band.

The Travelling Folk (TTF) is a travelling folk club for West Kent and East Sussex. We don't meet regularly in one venue but gather in pre-selected pubs around the area on the first and third Thursdays of each month to enjoy ourselves and to bring folk music to those who may not have had the opportunity of experiencing a live folk session before.

Despite the deaths of Bob and Kathy Drage, Around Kent Folk magazine is continuing and we welcome adverts from folk clubs etc. in Kent and Sussex. We are starting a new page of Sussex Folk News complied by Vic Smith.
