The Scotch-Irish Connection

Here's a video featuring FHO member Mitch Reed as he digs into the Scotch-Irish influence in Cajun music. Scotch-Irish were one of the "people groups" who settled the Appalachian mountains from Northern Ireland (and other locations). As Mitch says, there were many great Irish Cajun fiddle players who spoke French, played Cajun but definitely had Irish roots.
