Subject: FW: FETE and MUSIC festival sunny success
Dear All
first of all huge thanks to everyone who
supported us and worked so hard at, Blean's annual community based village
fete and 9th music festival last Saturday - a wonderful, friendly and very
warm event in every respect!
The list of people who helped to make it the
success it was is enormous and far too great to name everyone personally, but
you will know who you are.
The amount of visitors, community members,
stall holders, entertainers and musicians who came along to take part was
simply amazing (the best turnout and numbers we've ever welcomed), and we know
you enjoyed it too as so many of you stopped to tell us so during
the day and the evening.
Therefore it's a massive well done to
everyone of you who contributed, donated, baked, washed up and helped
in/or whatever you were involved in at the event, as you
and everyone there made it the absolutely marvellous day and evening event
it turned out to be.
All assisted by 😎😊😂 the sunshine and heat, food, burgers, drinks, cakes,
strawberries, knickerbocker glorys, beer et al with so much on offer
to see, buy, join in with, watch and listen to.
The profit from the day totalled a fantastic
profit of ?3,500.00 the money raised will be designated to specific
refurbishment and new environmentally focussed projects _at_ Blean
Village Hall to benefit all who use it currently and in the future.
The Blean Tug of War contest with 6 teams taking
part was won by:
the BLEAN
WOMEN TEAM! Defeating many male teams - well done those women. Their
name will be inscribed on the Blean trophy as 2018 winners.
The Hall, a registered charity is managed
by volunteers and benefits all who live in Blean
community (its held in trust for them) by BVHMC, and all fund raising
profit is re-invested in this very popular and well used community
centre.
Hall volunteers are taking a well earned break
from our social events calendar during July and August, resuming with
the usual end of month coffee morning on 29th Sept 10am - 2pm in the
Hall - information closer to date.
Many other locally based groups
will continue to offer social events up to and through the school summer
holidays so please support them and keep an eye out for their posters, flyers,
events and dates.
Enjoy the sunshine and have a wonderful summer
break too.
Best wishes and thanks again from all the Hall
volunteers and supporters.
PS Pictures of the fete and music festival
will be coming in soon. Visit our website: www.bleanvillagehall.co.uk
at the weekend or next week to see if you're there.
