Tim Edey : Daybreak. Tim Edey's superb new CD "Daybreak" - many of the tracks are composed by him, most feature him playing multiple instruments (multi-tracked); some also have Mike McGoldrick on whistle or flute and/or Lucy Randall on Bodhran. The MP3 offerings here are a sampling from the many excellent tracks on this CD, including some of his own composition.

2: Corofin Set- 1 ne'er shall wean her; 2 Corofin slide (Edey); 3 Ceanagulla Polka Trad., Arr. T. Edey Tim: Accordion, Guitars, Bass, Piano. Micheal McGoldrick: Whistle. I learnt the first tune from a great friend and Musician Rob McGeorge, the Polca I heard in Ventry, Co. Kerry.
3: Baltic Arrival (Edey) Composed T. Edey. Tim: Bc Accordion, Nylon strung Guitars, Bass, Piano. - 2min 40sec, 2.5MBytes. I wrote this tune while playing on the Baltic Sea, our group had just arrived and we were setting sail out of the Swedish Archipelago. This is for Rosemary and Lillian and all in The Irish Folk Ballet Company, and all the great times we had.
4: For Ireland I won't Tell Her Name; Sweet Biddy Daly; Out on the ocean. Trad., Arr. T. Edey Tim: Melodeon, Nylon strung Guitars, Bass, Banjo, Piano.
5: The New Jigs- 1 New Jig; 2 Mist Covered Mountain; 3 Flamenco fusion. T. Edey, Trad. Arr. T. Edey. Tim: Nylon String Guitars, Bass, Banjo, Piano, Melodeon. Lucy Randall: Bodhran. The ideas for this cme to me while playing wiht Mike McGoldrick in Galicia, the Mist Covered Mountain I learned from the great guitarist, Ed Boyd, and The Red Ciel .
6: Emmas Tune (Edey). Composed T. Edey. Tim: Nylon strung Guitars, Bass, Piano. I wrote this tune for someone I love very much.
7: Cuz Teehans and The Bass Rock. 1. Terry Cuz Teehan; 2. Bass Rock Composed Micheal McGoldrick, Arr. McGoldrick. Tim: Bc Accordion, Nylon strung Guitars, Bass, Piano. Micheal McGoldrick: Whistle. Lucy Randall: Bodhran. This set came together while recording in Manchester, Mike wrote the Bass Rock while recording in Berwick.
8: Donegal Set. Trad. Congress, Concertina reel, Bunker Hill, Arr. T. Edey Tim: Dg Melodeon, Steel strung Guitars, Spanish guitar, Bass, Banjo . The inspiration for this set came while in Carrick, Co. Donegal on a misty morning. I learned the tunes from Cait Thorpe, who introduced me to Donegal and the Music.
9: Tides Composed T. Edey. Tim: Piano. - 5min 6sec, 3.9MBytes. I wrote this tune while sailing on the Thames Estuary at nightfall near the River Blackwater, this is dedicated to two great men - my two grandpas.
10: Moving Clouds Reels. Trad., Arr. T. Edey Tim: Melodeon, Guitars, Bass, Piano, Keyboard.
11: The Gold Ring. Trad. Arr. McGoldick/Edey. Tim: Melodeon, Nylon and steel string guitars, Bass. Micheal McGoldrick: Flute. Lucy Randall: Bodhran. This is one of my favorite tunes.
12: George White's Favourite, and Galway Reels. Trad., Arr. T. Edey Tim: Accordion, Nylon and Steel strung Guitars, Bass, Piano. I learnt the first reel many years ago in Broadstairs from Flute player Jim O'Shea, and the second while in a session in Galway.
13: West Kerry Set. Trad., Arr. T. Edey Tim: Melodeon, Guitars, Bass, Banjo. I learned all these tunes while playing in Dingle, Co. Kerry with Guitarist / singer Edna McCabe.
14: The Reculver Polcas (Edey). Composed T. Edey. Tim: Melodeon, Banjo, Bass, Guitars. - 3min 53sec, 3.7MBytes. I was commissioned by Kent County Council to write some music for the Celts in Kent fesival, this set of polcas was inspired by a sunset at Reculver in Kent.
