Their
live shows range from the ragingly powerful to goose bump
inducing intimacy, with Isobel's charismatic stage presence
nodding to the likes of Patty Smith and PJ Harvey. The duo's
sound comes with a razor edge masked in an aural rainbow of
colours and textures.
Their repertoire of quality material only lacks the comfortable
security of fitting into a genre, no inevitable blues or soul
template to follow just an honest re-imagining of folk.

based musicians. The Hang is a new instrument handmade in
Switzerland since the year 2000. Only a small number of
instruments have been made and for now they are very rare. With
almost 30 million views on YouTube, an amazing new studio album
and lots of exciting new projects on the go, Hang Massive have
established themselves as the worlds leading hang duo and
promise to deliver many original and unique works in the
future.
Danny Cudd and Markus Offbeat have been playing together as a
duo since the summer of 2010 and since then have performed all
over the world. They have gained recognition globally,
captivating their audiences with their unique and entertaining
performances. Hang Massive are now on a Global tour and
performing at many interesting and varied venues and events.
Their unique style of music and more recent fusion with
electronic production has further set Hang Massive into a world

of English singer, songwriter and guitarist John Christopher
and Swedish singer Jenny Jonasson (aka J.J.Woodall). They've
enchanted audiences in both of their home countries, elsewhere
in Europe and the U.S.
Their fine blend of vocal harmony plus punchy, rolling acoustic
guitar rhythms make for a splendid live show worthy of any
stage and their atmospheric, eerie and inventive recordings
have been used in soundtracks as well having received frequent

Way Down Yonder
Established in 2004, when they
all met at Canterbury Christ Church University, Way Down Yonder
quickly generated a reputation for quality entertainment in a
niche market; Barbershop close harmony but with a uniquely
English feel.
From an early appearance at the Canterbury Festival in 2005,
through to frequent performances at Smugglers Festival, with a
number of wedding bookings in-between, Way Down Yonder return
to the Lighthouse after a 2-year absence to sing their full
repertoire, from traditional barbershop songs such as Georgia
on My Mind and Java Jive to arrangements of Beatles classics.
We are pleased to announce the
return of the Reggae Roast! Delicious tastes of the Caribbean
mixed with the traditional English roast dinner, at an
incredible price of ?7.50! Chef Tyrone will be serving you from
12pm. Relax and eat while enjoying some music at a volume that
is proven to aid digestion and stimulate taste buds.
This is to be a regular fixture as part of our weekly ?Sunday
Service'. Leave the cooking to Tyrone and join us here!
Due to popular demand, booking a table is very much
recommended.
